A few hours after the Senate voted and approved the Provisional Measure that reorganizes the Esplanada dos Ministries and the attributions of each one of them, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) denied that the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP-AL ), has asked your party for a briefcase.

The statement came after the president was asked by Lira to participate more actively in the political articulation with the deputies, who ended up making changes to the text of the MP that were not well received by members of the government, mainly Marina Silva (Environment) and Sônia Guajajara (Indian people). According to Lula, although he supported the election of Lira to the presidency of the Chamber, the PP is not a grassroots party.

“[Lira]didn’t ask and couldn’t ask, because the PP is an opposition party and there are people who vote with us. The PP already had a minister in [governo do] PT, had two ministries in Dilma’s government
[Rousseff, PT, ex-presidente]. No problem. If he asks, we will evaluate. But, until now, I have never heard Lira ask for a minister, ”she said.

Lula also denied that he is going to make a ministerial reform to expand the political articulation between the base parties that did not deliver votes for the MP. “This is not on my mind, unless there is a catastrophe [para] that I have to change”, he added.
