Lira’s ex-wife is exonerated from the AL government after saying she does not live in Maceió – 06/18/2023 – Panel

Jullyene Lins, ex-wife of the mayor, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), was exonerated on Thursday (15) from the position of advisor to the Secretariat of Agriculture and Livestock of Alagoas after stating in an interview that she did not live in Maceió.

The statement generated distrust among opponents that she could be a ghost employee, sheltered by Governor Paulo Dantas, an ally of the Calheiros family and an opponent of Lira in the state.

Jullyene had been appointed to the position of special advisor with a salary of BRL 10,527.00 on February 16 of this year. Who signs the nomination is Governor Paulo Dantas.

On the last 6th, however, in an interview with the YouTube channel ICL, Jullyene declares that she is no longer living in Maceió. She claims to have already been threatened by her ex-husband, who would have said that “where there is no body, there is no crime”.

“He tries to silence me in many ways and that’s why I have this need to always be going from one place to another that is safe. I don’t stay in Maceió anymore, because I can’t walk on the beach, because I’m afraid” , reports.

The Panel approached the Secretary of Agriculture to clarify whether Jullyene worked in person, how her time sheet was filled out, and what functions she had in the unit. The press office limited itself to answering that the advisor was no longer “part of its staff”, with exoneration published in the Official Gazette.

When contacted, Jullyene said she had asked for her resignation for not being able to “appear to fully exercise her position” during the last three months.

“For reasons of general knowledge and widely publicized by the national press on the issue of safety and imminent risks to life, I asked to be exonerated from the role of trust that was granted to me”, he replied.

In 2006, Jullyene denounced Lira for bodily injury, after registering an incident with the Civil Police of Alagoas. But he changed his statement about ten years later, when the lawsuit was before the STF, and the deputy was acquitted.

Later, in an interview with SheetJullyene reaffirmed the accusations and said that Lira physically assaulted her and then threatened her to change a statement about the accusations she had made against him.

The MP denies the allegations.
