The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), informed this Monday (6), that the deadline for party leaders to indicate the list of candidates for the presidency of the committees ends on Wednesday (8). From today until tomorrow, the president participated in meetings with leaders to settle the choices.

According to Lira, the idea is to reach an agreement this Tuesday, so that the positions are already consolidated by the leaders. “We want to streamline the normal work of Congress,” she said.

In a press conference after meeting at the Commercial Association of São Paulo (ACSP), Lira also informed that the leaders should meet with the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, to address issues on the economic agenda, such as tax reform, changes in the Administrative Council of Fiscal Resources (Carf) and the exemption of fuels.
