The mayor, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), said this Wednesday (3) that the operation of the Federal Police to investigate the alleged adulteration of the vaccination card of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) is “worrying” for the sanitary point of view. The deputy stressed that it is necessary to treat the case with “caution” in relation to the political impact.

“What happened today from a health point of view is worrying, but from a political point of view, we have to be very careful. We don’t need any more political and social tension in this country. course, at the level of Justice”, said Lira in an interview with GloboNews.

Senate President Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG) also commented on the operation against the former president. For Pacheco, the investigation must be separated from the economic agenda. “We cannot mix these controversies with the main agenda of the country, which is the agenda of growth… These other issues are the role of Justice”, said the president of the Senate, informed the Estadão.

He pointed out that the “mission” of the Senate is to “take care” of the economic agenda. “Concrete cases submitted to Justice are very difficult to comment without full knowledge. But it is the role of the Judiciary, the Judiciary has to fulfill its role and evidently wait now for people to be able to defend themselves”, stated the senator.
