Lira asks Salles for parsimony if she reports the MST CPI – 04/27/2023 – Panel
[ad_1]
Arthur Lira (PP-AL), president of the Chamber of Deputies, asked Ricardo Salles (PL-SP) to act with parsimony and balance if he is chosen as rapporteur for the MST’s CPI. They had a meeting on the subject this Wednesday (26), and the federal deputy is today’s favorite to assume the post.
Lira’s request is based on the tense relationship that Salles has had with rural movements in recent years, as a candidate for deputy and minister of the environment. He has told his interlocutors that he does not want to turn the CPI into a party or turn it into a tool of persecution.
Among the plans he has been discussing, he intends to develop a national plan for land regularization at the CPI and wants to call together leaders of movements and financiers, so that they are responsible for invasions when it is not possible to hold the groups accountable.
He also intends to listen to mayors and governors of cities where there are more invasions by rural movements.
