Lexa and MC Guimê: perfect marriage, betrayal on national television and new separation

The witch is loose! Another relationship has come to an end in the artistic world. On Thursday afternoon (21), singer Lexa made a post on her social network to announce that her marriage to MC Guimê had ended for the third time.

“Guime and I are no longer together. We tried, but decided to go our separate ways. Out of respect for the fans, I am speaking out. But I don’t want to talk about it anymore,”

wrote the singer on Instagram Stories.

The now ex-couple has been on and off in recent years. In October 2022, they announced the end of their marriage, and in June 2023, they got back together. IstoÉ Gente takes a look back at Lexa and MC Guimê’s relationship – which always had the image of being a perfect relationship. Check out!

How it all began

Lexa and Guimê started dating in 2015, when they met backstage at a show. Three years later, they got married at the Sé Cathedral in São Paulo. The singers’ honeymoon was on the islands of St. Maarten, St. Barth and Anguilla, in the Caribbean.

Perfect relationship

On social media, the couple has always been seen as a model of ‘relationship goals’, as they do not get involved in controversies, always appear in love and display a perfect relationship.

First separation

Lexa and MC Guimê took fans by surprise when they announced the end of their marriage in October 2022.

Sexual harassment on BBB 23 and second separation

At the beginning of this year, Guimê and Antônio Cara de Sapato were expelled from ‘BBB 23’, after harassing the new prisoner in Mexico, Dania Mendez. On that occasion, the funk singer, on several occasions, reached out to the Mexican woman, while the jiu-jitsu fighter immobilized Dania to kiss her.

After the incident, Lexa, Guimê’s wife, spoke about the matter on her Twitter profile: “I know what an AMAZING woman I am, helping all the time, lifting me up, speaking well, getting involved in things that aren’t mine… anyone who follows me knows that I dedicated myself 101% to everything, to see him shine… I don’t sleep Right, I stopped my life to see Guimê happen”.

And he added: “I’m not well… I need some time for myself. See you soon… I don’t know when I’ll be back here.”

They resumed the marriage

After spending some time apart, Lexa and Guimê resumed their marriage. On December 27, 2022, the couple told their followers about the big news, and shortly afterwards the funk singer was confined with one of the ‘BBB23’ participants.

MC Guimê’s debt

In March this year, the São Paulo Court authorized 30% of Lexa’s monthly income to be seized monthly until the full payment of a debt owed by her husband, MC Guimê. According to the newspaper O Globo, where the information comes from, Guimê had purchased a property worth R$2.2 million in 2016, but failed to pay R$777,000. In addition to this amount, the funk singer was also ordered to refund R$421,000 plus corrections to the former owners of the house.

Lexa may have to pay around R$2.9 million, as she is married to the ex-BBB in universal community of property. However, the singer’s defense can still appeal, as the asset was acquired before the marriage.

At the time, our report sought out family lawyer Antília da Monteira Reis, who explained whether Lexa could be forced to pay her ex-husband’s debt.

“The spouse will only be charged with their partner’s debt when the marriage is a partial community of property, in accordance with articles 1658 and 1660 of the Civil Code”,

Antilia began.

“The creditor will be able to subject the assets of MC Guimê and Lexa, even if the debt is solely due to MC Guimê, if it proves that Lexa enjoyed or had participation in the debt. Otherwise, only MC Guimê who contracted it will respond, and singer Lexa’s assets cannot be affected. You must also prove that when purchasing the aforementioned property, MC Guimê was legally married on paper to the singer Lexa”.

“She does not respond with her private assets, but they can respond as the couple’s common assets. The creditor has to prove that she benefited from the purchase of the property. If she lived in the property that was not paid for while married, then she will have joint and several liability”,

added the family lawyer.

Tattoo

Guimê has Lexa’s face tattooed on his leg. In the drawing, the singer appears dressed as a bride.

“I immortalized on my skin a person who has already been eternalized in my soul and in my heart since I met him. It is the symbol of my love and gratitude. I decided to give you a gift by making this madness of love”,

he said about the tribute to his beloved.

And she replied: “Love you forever. Thank you for the birthday present.”
