Senator Sérgio Moro (União-PR) said, this Tuesday (11), that he will appeal the decision of Minister Ricardo Lewandowski to keep in the Federal Supreme Court (STF) the crime news in which the lawyer Rodrigo Tacla Duran accuses him of an alleged extortion attempt in the Lava Jato operation. “I will appeal as soon as I have access to the records”, he mentioned.

According to Moro, by accepting the manifestation of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) about possible interference in the processes, “Lewandowski contravenes precedents of the STF itself regarding the privileged forum”.

“I emphasize that the process with the false accusations is not the responsibility of the Supreme Court, since the invented facts would be prior to my term as senator”, added Moro.

The former judge stressed that he “waives up the privilege” of the forum and that he intends to fight in the Senate for the “end of this legal excrescence, a true cause of impunity”.
