Legislative Assembly participates in the fourth edition of the solidarity action “Mãos Dadas”

The items to be donated are being offered by the Casa’s servers
Manaus (AM) – The Legislative Assembly of Amazonas (Aleam) will carry out this Wednesday (16), the delivery of personal hygiene items for women victims of domestic violence and supported by protective measures. The items to be donated, including toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoos, pads and moisturizers, are being offered by the Casa’s employees, who joined together through the solidarity initiative “Mãos Dadas”, organized by the Brazilian Association of Women in the Legal Career ( ABMCH) – Amazonas Commission, in partnership with Ronda Maria da Penha of the Amazonas Military Police (PM-AM).
The campaign, coordinated in the Assembly by the Board of Social Assistance and the Women’s Commission, began at the beginning of August.
According to Aleam’s Director of Social Services Inactive Manager, Socorro Oliveira, this is the 4th edition of the “Mãos Dadas” campaign held at the Legislative House.
“We enlisted Aleam’s male and female servants to donate items for personal use, such as pads, moisturizing body creams, shampoo, deodorant, as well as bed, table and bath linen, towels, sheets, etc”, he explained.
The “Mãos Dadas” action takes place in August as a result of the anniversary of the Maria da Penha Law and the “Agosto Lilás” campaign, a campaign to combat domestic and family violence against women.
