After the departure of the national secretary of Justice, Augusto Botelho, last Friday (31), the legal group Prerogativas “affiliated” three new members this Monday (3).
Professor Lucineia Rosa dos Santos, a black jurist who has been defended by part of the legal community for the STF, entered, in addition to the indigenous Maurício Terena, legal coordinator of Apib (Articulation of Indigenous Peoples of Brazil) and Claudia Maria Dadico, retired federal judge .
The progressive-biased group, which operates via WhatsApp, has around 250 members, a limit set by the platform. There is a waiting list of over a thousand people.
Botelho, one of the most prominent members of Prerogativas, left the group due to criticism against the appointment of lawyer Marilda Silveira as advisor to the Ministry of Justice.
In the past, she helped formulate actions against current President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), including the one that prevented him from becoming Minister of the Civil House, in 2016.
