The Forum of Progressive Parties, which brings together leftist parties from the government’s base, should soon start discussing the formation of slates for municipal elections.
The idea is to try to unify the candidacies as much as possible, and in as many cities as possible, despite the difficulty of joining interests from seven parties. They are part of the PT, PCdoB, PV, PSOL, Rede, PSB and PDT groups.
The group is also seeking an audience with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), but has yet to receive a response.
