Divulgation Registration for the 3rd edition of the LED Award, which highlights innovative initiatives in the area of education, is open and will run until September 27th. 💡 Those interested must access the website www.movimentoled.com.br, fill out the form and send the requested documents. The award is part of the LED Movement, created by Globo and the Roberto Marinho Foundation to illuminate transformative teaching practices. 📚 One of the novelties of this edition is the expansion of the scope of the award for higher education with a focus on teacher training. With this, the LED starts to cover all stages of teaching. Organizations, students, educators or content creators can compete, free of charge. The prize of R$ 1.5 million will be distributed as follows: R$ 1.2 million for the six winners, in three categories: basic education, professional/technical education and non-formal education; BRL 300,000 for the “LED Challenge – Give me a light there!”, focused on students and which will be held in the first half of 2024. Who can participate in the award? According to the award regulations, the following groups can apply: entrepreneurs: businesses, educational institutions and other public or private organizations that contribute to the dissemination of quality education; educators (with or without ties to educational institutions); public or private organizations focused on improving learning and expanding access to education; students: students from educational institutions and other public or private organizations that are generating impact in their communities; content creators: scientists, influencers, youtubers, tiktokers, parents or guardians of students, outside the school environment or the professional field of education, who are creating and implementing educational practices. You must be over 18 years old. The award does not accept initiatives that are not in progress or that are: partisan; religious; international, without operations in Brazil; and/or linked to Globo or Fundação Roberto Marinho or other partner initiatives of the award. Selection steps The steps for selecting and presenting the winners are: selection of eligible projects, based on the submitted forms and videos (August 28 to September 27); initial assessment of the initiatives, carried out by ponteAponte, a consultancy specializing in the selection of socio-environmental projects (from September 28th to November 3rd); interviews and audit: in this stage, up to 15 semifinalists will be chosen in the three categories (from November 6th to December 7th); evaluation by the jury (December 7th to 15th); award program on TV Globo: April 2024.
