Without citing processes or names, the new president of the TRE-AP, judge John Lages, who took office yesterday, on the morning of this Tuesday, 7, said with all the letters that the classification scenario of the 2022 elections can be changed, both within the scope of the Legislative Assembly and in the Federal Chamber.

João Lages spoke on the program ‘LuizMeloEntrevista’. “The result of last year’s proportional elections can, yes, be changed, due to some actions, but for now we cannot advance anything, because the vote in the TRE is collegiate”explained the judge.

The president of the Regional Electoral Court of Amapá said that it is part of his management’s action plan, alongside the new magistrate, Carmo Antonio, investigate and refine the quality of information contained in electoral actions so that the voter’s will prevails.

The new president of TRE-AP informed that the court will focus primarily, in the first half of 2023, on judging all electoral actions related to 2022, and there may be cases that require an extension of time, due to the obligation of expertise or testimony outside Macapá, for example.

Lages also informed that the TRE, in these two years that he will be president, should give priority to the search for artificial intelligence, and that for that purpose it will start preparing judges and officials to receive this modernity. “Justice needs artificial intelligence, which will give us more security”scored.
