Federal deputy Kim Kataguiri (União Brasil-SP) won the Free Brazil Movement (MBL) previews to run for São Paulo City Hall representing the group in 2024. The MBL announced the victory of Kataguiri, who ran with state deputy Guto Zacarias (União Brasil-SP), this Monday (3).
Kataguiri had 56.1% of the votes and Zacarias, 43.8% of the votes. Voting was online and included the participation of members of the movement. The internal election started last Friday (30) and ended this Monday.
“We remember that in 2020, Arthur do Val reached the expressive vote of 9.78% of the valid votes, despite a low-budget campaign. Allied to the 9,951 votes cast by our grassroots militancy, these numbers show the continued resonance of the MBL discourse in civil society”, said the MBL about the 2020 municipal election, in a note, in the twitter.
