The information was confirmed by the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino, to journalists this Wednesday (26) in Ceará, where he has an official agenda.
According to the minister, Telegram has ignored requests for measures to combat content that advocates violence and threatens actions in schools. Last week, an ordinance was edited on the subject and already spoke of the possibility of suspending networks that did not comply with the articles.
Last Friday (21), Telegram complied with a court order and provided information about neo-Nazi groups involved in recent cases of violence in schools. However, the information was not enough for the Federal Police.
In addition to the suspension, the application also received a fine of R$ 1 million for not providing complete information about contacts and data of the members and administrators of a group with neo-Nazi content.
According to the Federal Police (PF), the request was made to Instagram after an investigation revealed that a 16-year-old youth, responsible for the death of four people and the injury of 12 others at a school in Espírito Santo, was part of anti-Semitic groups on the app. of messages.
