‘Jurassic Park’ restaurant takes tour with dinos and adventures

Following the wave of themed restaurants that are booming in São Paulo, less than a month ago a snack bar inspired by the “Jurassic Park” franchise opened.

Located in Golden Square Shopping, in São Bernardo do Campo, in the ABC region of São Paulo, Jurassic Park Burger Restaurant offers a tour through the original story of Steven Spielberg’s film, in addition, of course, to hamburgers, as its name suggests.

Visitors arriving at the site go to the cashiers or self-service screens where they choose their food. It is at this time that those who opt for the immersive experience receive a badge — this is because it is possible to only have meals on site, without having to venture through the Jurassic scenarios.

The decoration of the eating area consists of photos, bones and drawings of dinosaurs, artificial plants and symbols from the movies.

While customers eat their combos, employees dressed in clothes used in the franchise’s parks walk between the tables carrying a baby dinosaur on their lap. The animal is a kind of puppet that serves to call those who bought the immersive experience to the place where it takes place.

Once the queue is organized, everyone follows the corridor that leads to a video explaining how dinosaurs were brought back to life by Jurassic Park scientists — just as it happens in the first scenes of the movie that inspired the restaurant.

The tour continues through scenarios that bring dinosaurs of different species. That’s where actors come in through the environment, saying they are concerned about the animals on the loose after a power outage — exactly like in the 1993 feature film. .

Despite the scares and the complexity of the explanations —which go through dinosaur names and how DNA works—, the tour has no age restrictions, and children up to four years old are not allowed.
pay to participate in the experience. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by a legal guardian to take the tour.

After going through around 20 environments, the thematic tour ends at a souvenir shop, as is common in this type of enterprise.

In the restaurant’s exit corridor there is a kind of museum with original items from the films that are part of the personal collection of Renan Pizii, CEO of Iron Studios and creator of the Jurassic Park Burger.

The tour works by reservations that can be made through the website or application. The fee of R$30 is reversed in consumption at the restaurant. Each reservation entitles you to stay in the food area for up to an hour and a half, followed by the tour.
