The chairman of the Agriculture and Supply Commission (CAB) of the Legislative Assembly of Amapá (Alap), deputy Júnior Favacho (MDB) landed in Paragominas (PA) on Saturday (17) to participate in the II Field Day at Fazenda Guarani, an event that gathered livestock representatives from across Brazil interested in sharing knowledge and exploring the latest trends in animal genetics and grain production.
The second edition of the event featured national livestock experts, such as veterinarian Marcelo Almeida and researcher Antônio Chagas. In addition, lectures and round tables were held throughout the day with industry experts, and participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences, ask questions and seek solutions to the challenges faced in their properties.
According to Júnior Favacho, participation in meetings like this serves, mainly, to learn about positive experiences that can be replicated in Amapá. He gave the example of the Agrishow, an event held in Campinas in May, which led to a series of suggestions to the Government of Amapá to improve the primary sector in the state.
“Like what we did at Agrishow, here on this Field Day we are learning about new technologies and industry trends that can contribute to the development of livestock in our state. These are successful cases and windows of opportunity that we must take advantage of to develop Amapá in this sector”, he said.
The parliamentarian also said that the Field Day is a great opportunity to meet investors and publicize existing opportunities in Amapá. “We are also here to invite businessmen to get to know our state, participate in the Expofair, and who knows how to invest in Amapá. We are showing the advantages and the enormous potential that we have to offer. Only in this way will we develop Agro and generate employment and income for the population”.
Interested in participating in the Expofair was the host of Dia de Campo, the owner of Fazenda Guarani, Moacir Balestreri. “We are grateful for the visit of Deputy Júnior Favacho. I also appreciate the invitation to participate in the Fair and bring our experience to Amapá”, he said.

Those who attended the second edition of the Guarani Farm Field Day had the opportunity to participate in lectures, auctions, presentation of animals of high genetic standard and debate on genetic improvement, reproduction philosophy, herd architecture, super precocious plus heifers, elite of farm fertility and cow reproductive performance. In addition, this year’s event featured a Kids Space, to welcome children, and a space aimed only at the female audience who also works in livestock.
