Fenajufe, the federation of Judiciary servants, has mobilized against the attempt by Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), president of the Senate, to promote the recreation of the five-year period, adding to the monthly salaries of a 5% subsidy every five years for judges and promoters, and up to seven increases can be achieved throughout the careers.
According to the Valor Econômico newspaper, Pacheco began a tour of the cabinet of STF ministers to say that, among other changes, he should try to get the so-called PEC of the Quinquennial to be voted on.
The Senate president openly defends the proposal, tried to put it to a vote at the end of last year and suspended its procedure at the request of the transition team of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), who feared the effects of the PEC on public coffers , estimated at R$ 5 billion per year.
To soften the impact, Pacheco has said that the PEC of the Five-Year Period will only be enacted and will come into force after the approval of a project against the super wages of public agents, which would regulate the payment of aid that circumvent the constitutional ceiling.
In its defense, Fenajufe says that it would be unfair to revive the five-year period in a scenario in which Judiciary employees have been without salary recovery for five years.
Servers then ask that the five-year period be paid to all, or that no one receive them, so that the principle of isonomy is not achieved. They ask for a meeting with Pacheco to discuss the issue and are discussing demonstrations.
