The judgment in the Federal Supreme Court (STF) on the competence of the Military Justice was suspended this Thursday (16) to start over from scratch in the plenary of the Court in person. The analysis was interrupted at the request of Justice Ricardo Lewandowski. Ministers judged the case in the virtual plenary the scope of Military Justice to judge crimes committed by military personnel during Law and Order (GLO) operations.

In this modality, they only cast votes, without discussing the topic, but can request that the case be analyzed in person. The score was at five votes to two to keep the cases in Military Justice, as it currently works. The divergence was opened by minister Edson Fachin and accompanied by Lewandowski, who requested the highlight.

With that, the trial will be restarted in the face-to-face plenary, where ministers will be able to debate the case. There is still no date for the resumption of analysis. The action began to be judged in the virtual plenary on the 10th and should end at 23:59 this Friday (17).
