José Mayer posts video after being discharged from hospital: ‘Going home’

After being hospitalized on February 7, José Mayer went through a “difficult period”, as he himself said in his networks. The actor, who was rushed to the hospital due to an internal bleeding in the lung, was discharged this Monday, the 27th. To communicate the news, he recorded a video and posted it on his networks. “Monday, February 27th, 11:55 am, again in the freedom of the streets of Rio, heading home, thank God, driven by my partner of 53 years, Vera, my protective angel. How can she put up with me ?” he joked.

Afterwards, Mayer thanked him for the messages of affection he received during his stay in the hospital. “Kisses to all, very happy to be returning home. And thank you, again, for the prayers, for the affection, for the spiritual strength that you have given me”, he said.

At the age of 73, the actor had been taken to the Casa de Saúde São José, in Rio de Janeiro, with severe pain and had to remain there, being admitted to the ICU (Intensive Care Center), after the exams indicated a problem. more serious. He was diagnosed with alveolar bleeding in the lung.

This Sunday, the 26th, the actor posted an audio on the networks to share news about his health status: “Pain and suffering come our way sometimes, because they are normal facts in anyone’s life, aren’t they?”, he said, before adding: “It is illusory to imagine that life can always be under our control.”

Finally, he said: “It was a difficult period, yes, but I think that even from the pain we can learn important lessons”, he added. “I take this opportunity to thank, with all my heart, the health professionals who took care of me and all of you who supported me with affection and prayers”.
