The first lady, Rosângela da Silva, Janja, resumed on Monday night (26) the lives project “Papo de Respect”, in which she invites authorities and personalities to deal with various topics, but avoided using official channels of the government to broadcast the conversation.

The live, which lasted about 40 minutes, was transmitted by the personal profiles of Janja, Margareth Menezes, Minister of Culture, and Márcio Tavares, executive secretary of the portfolio, on Instagram. This was the second such conversation held by the first lady.

On the live, Janja avoided mentioning former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) by name. When dealing with the chronology of the Paulo Gustavo Law, the first lady said that the norm was vetoed by Bolsonaro, referring to him as “that one over there”.

She also reprimanded users who were making critical comments on the stream.

“There are people here talking badly here in the comments… listen, stay there listening to see if you learn a little about what culture is. Culture is not what you sell, what you put in your little head. Culture moves life, it can revolutionize, it transforms hearts and minds. And that’s what we want from culture.”

In a didactic tone, the participants explained the functioning of the Paulo Gustavo Law, indicating that the deadline for states and municipalities to register to receive the resources ends on July 11th. The three also defended the cultural sector and spoke of the importance of the norm.
