Jandira Ferghali accuses PL deputy of ‘fake news’ and wants investigation – 04/12/2023 – Mônica Bergamo

Federal deputy Jandira Feghali, leader of the PC do B in the Chamber, defended Márcio Jerry (PC do B-MA), a member of the PC do B who was accused of harassment by deputy Júlia Zanatta (PL-SC).

In the column, Feghali accuses Zanatta of fake news and says the caption as he studies measures to ask for an investigation against the Bolsonarist colleague.

“She is an unbalanced person, who creates problems based on untruths, that’s her history”, says Feghali to the column. “She froze the image [do vídeo] in a frame that interested her”.

The episode took place on Tuesday (11) during a session with the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino, at the House Security and Justice Commission. According to Zanatta, the parliamentarian approached her from behind and intimidated her with words spoken close to her ear, in addition to allegedly touching her neck.

Márcio Jerry denies the accusations and says he is a victim of fake news. The deputy says that at the time of the incident there were a lot of people and there was a heated discussion between Zanata and deputy Lidice da Mata (PSB-BA).

Feghali corroborates Márcio Jerry’s version, that he defended Congresswoman Lidice da Mata. “There is no question about the attitude and integrity [do parlamentar]”, he follows.

The PC do B leader also says that the party will ask for Zanatta to be investigated, and that the party’s legal department is already analyzing a way to report fake news against the parliamentarian.

A video shared by deputy Paulo Bilynskyj (PL-SP) shows Márcio Jerry approaching Júlia Zanatta and talking in the deputy’s ear.

“I felt extremely disrespected. This colleague [Jerry] came up behind me and said: ‘Respect 40 years of mandate’. I ask for respect for my first term as a woman, in this House, and I do not allow anyone to touch me or speak in my ear trying to intimidate me, intimidate my positions”, says the parliamentarian in an audio sent to the column.

The PL parliamentarian received support from other deputies from the acronym, such as Mário Frias (SP) and Eduardo Bolsonaro (SP).

Deputy Júlia Zanatta was accused last month of inciting violence by allies of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) after posting on a social network a photo in which she holds a rifle while wearing a T-shirt stamped with a hand with four fingers pierced by bullets is an allusion to the PT.

She denies any relationship with the PT. “Is it written Lula on the shirt? It’s not, right. It’s not written Lula. I think he’s not the only one missing a finger or two, I don’t know. It’s not written Lula and at no time did I say in my text: ‘let’s attack’, ‘let’s take up arms to make a revolution’. The left already said that once. I never said that”, said the parliamentarian to the Panel.
