In an end-of-year mood, the governor of Amapá, Clécio Luís, in a Christmas message to the population, assessed 2023 as a year of challenges and a lot of work, done with joint efforts. A trajectory that allowed us to define paths to strengthen actions in the coming years.
The message, published on the State Government’s social networks, also invites the population to participate in Beira Rio 2024 New Year’s Eve, which has 60 attractions, 10 of which are national and 50 regional.
The event is completely free and takes place from December 30th to January 1st, on the banks of the Amazon River, in Fazendinha, and in the North Zone of Macapá, strengthening tourism, culture and economy in the region. It will be a time to celebrate the arrival of 2024 with family and friends.
In his message, Clécio Luís points to the baby Jesus as an example of love, respect, honesty, humility and gratitude.

It’s Christmas time and a time to be thankful. Thank God for the year we have lived. Thank you for being part of or following our work.
It was a year of many challenges, of getting to know better the details of how the public sector works, of resolving historical problems, and, above all, of defining a path, a trajectory for Amapá that we all dream of.
This path is made of unity, of joining efforts and different energies, and having more strength to bring the results that are coming and that have improved the lives of our people.
I am very happy with the work that has already been done. Happy, but far from satisfied. I know the size of the problems to face and I see a lot of work ahead.
Let’s be inspired by the baby Jesus, who blesses us this Christmas, and have all the affection and commitment to do our part.
And we will end the year by increasing event tourism. We will have a great New Year’s Eve for our families. I invite you to participate, to live this turning point with us with peace and joy.
And once again, my gratitude to God, to the people of our land, and to you who, together with us, are building a new era for Amapá.
