Ipec: Lula is approved by 39% and disapproved by 26% – 04/11/2023 – Power

Ipec poll released this Tuesday (11) shows approval of the Lula government (PT) by 39% and disapproval by 26% of Brazilians. After three months of PT management, another 30% consider it regular, and 6% said they did not know or did not answer the question.

Ipec heard 2,000 voters in 128 municipalities from April 1st to 5th, with a margin of error of two percentage points, more or less.

In relation to the previous poll, carried out on March 19, Lula’s approval fluctuated negatively within the margin of error – before, the percentage was 41%. Disapproval, which was previously 24%, fluctuated two points upwards.

The numbers are similar to those measured in the Datafolha survey carried out between March 29 and 30, when the Lula administration was considered good or excellent by 38%, while 29% considered the government bad or terrible.

Lula’s positive evaluation, according to Ipec, is more expressive among residents of the Northeast region and among those with family income of up to one minimum wage, with 55% and 53%, respectively. Among the negative evaluation highlights are evangelicals and residents of the South region, with 44% and 37%, in that order.

Ipec also recorded that 54% approve of the way Lula governs, while 37% disapprove and 9% said they did not know or decided not to respond.

In the survey carried out in March, the percentage of those satisfied with the president’s way of managing was 57% — three points higher. The number of those who reject it was 35%, oscillating two points upwards.

Also according to the institute, 52% of Brazilians say they trust the current president, while 44% said they do not.
