Interdisciplinary Theater Exhibition brings together artistic works developed at UEA

The event will feature more than 60 theatrical projects developed in the Theater course

Manaus (AM) — With the aim of sharing with the academic community and the external public a range of pedagogical artistic works developed by students, teachers and members of research and extension projects of the Theater course, the Escola Superior de Artes e Tourism of the University of the State of Amazonas (Esat/UEA) will hold the 2nd edition of the Interdisciplinary Theater Exhibition (Mito). The program runs from today (19) until Saturday (24). Mito’s opening will be at 1pm, in the Esat building, located at Avenida Leonardo Malcher, 728, Praça 14 de Janeiro. Entry is free.

According to the creator of the Exhibition, Professor Francis Madson, general coordinator of Mito and the Theatrical Management and Production Component, interdisciplinarity is one of the guidelines of the theatrical language and the theater course at UEA.

“Mito is a consolidation of this object via shows, work in progress, performances, extension projects and research directory. It is the right space to experience interdisciplinarity”,

states.

For Prof. Dr. Vanessa Bordin, coordinator of the Theater course, events like Mito are important for the production and execution of a show.

“Students present their artistic work as a result of interdisciplinary processes and extension projects, strengthening collective work and valuing these teaching practices that collaborate with each other”,

explains.

According to professor Wellington Dias, professor of the Theater course and coordinator of Teaching Quality at Esat/UEA, Mito has the support of UEA and the Academic Theater Center (Ceat).

“In this sense, it is a great interdisciplinary panorama to encourage efforts, creativity and fulfillment of the social role of theatrical art inside and outside our University”,

comments the teacher.

In this second edition, the event will feature more than 60 theatrical projects developed in the Theater course. The activity involves students and course teachers. In addition to extension projects and collaborative projects.
