Inter invests to sign the center forward Enner Valencia

The center forward Enner Valencia is probed by Inter and could be the great reinforcement for the 2023 season. According to Turkish websites, the Ecuadorian would have refused a renewal with Fenerbahçe and would be interested in signing a pre-contract to come to Porto Alegre in July. There is still no official statement from Inter about the deal. However, president Alessandro Barcellos is in Europe with his leaders, and has already managed to sign striker Luiz Adriano and defensive midfielder Charles Aránguiz.

Enner captained the Ecuador team at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where he scored three goals in three group stage matches. The 33-year-old striker has a strong shot, quick movement, intelligent positioning and leadership on the pitch. He has 30 games and 23 goals for the Turkish championship, in which he is the top scorer and has the best season of his career.

Turkish newspapers convey information that the deal is advanced with the club from Rio Grande do Sul. Enner started professionally playing at left wing, so he has the ability to play in different positions, which gives coach Mano Menezes more options. Despite being short for a striker, around 1.77m, he has physical strength and balance, and can compete for balls with defenders if necessary. In total, Enner Valencia has 449 appearances, 138 goals and 60 assists, and is considered a top player in the Turkish league.
