Internazionale is the first finalist of the 2022/23 edition of the Champions League. The black and blue team defeated their rivals from Milan, Milan, by 1-0, and advanced to the continental tournament decision after 13 years.

Since the Internazionale title in 2010 –under José Mourinho, with a 2-0 victory over Bayern–, only one team from Italy had reached the decision, twice. Juventus were finalists in 2015 and 2017, but lost to Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively.
