In Manaus, demand for air tickets to enjoy Carnival is growing

Manaus (AM) — Carnival is one of the seasons in which the public takes the opportunity to travel to enjoy the weekend. With just under a month to go, the demand for travel packages is growing with destinations ranging from the states of the Northeast to the Southeast. Several factors have driven this increase in demands during the month of January.

Samba school parades, street blocks, vibrant music, dances and colorful costumes liven up all of Brazil. The cities of Rio de Janeiro, Recife and Salvador attract millions of tourists due to their programming. Many people from Amazonas have tried to experience Carnival days in these locations, due to the ease in purchasing airline tickets.

Edilmar Bezerra, CVC franchisee at Millennium Shopping, records a 40% increase in sales of travel packages that include: air tickets, accommodation and tours, for the Carnival period, which runs from February 9th to 14th.

“In addition to the more affordable price, the increase is due to the natural beauty, major events and paradisiacal beaches. Every day we are looking for complete packages, which combine festive entertainment and the chance for travelers to discover new places”, says Edilmar.
