The launch of the Parliamentary Front brought together federal and state deputies who work for the animal cause throughout Brazil

Brasilia DF) – Deputy Joana Darc (UB), ambassador of ‘Cadeia para Maus-Treats’, in Amazonas (AM), attended the launch of the Parliamentary Front in Defense of Animals of the Federal District (DF), on Thursday (04), at the plenary of the Legislative Chamber. In addition, the parliamentarian took the necessary demands for the improvements of the Wild Animal Screening Center of Amazonas (Cetas-AM).

The launch of the Parliamentary Front brought together federal and state deputies who work for animal causes throughout Brazil. With that, Joana was representing the Amazon and, in addition to this agenda, the parliamentarian sought measures to solve the fate of the capybara Filó, fighting for her coexistence with Agenor Tupinambá, in Autazes (113 km far from Manaus).

“We came to Brasilia to debate animal welfare, in defense of the life and freedom of animals in the Amazon, in addition to honoring the launch of the Parliamentary Front in Defense of Animals in DF, which is a commendable initiative in guaranteeing animals. I also talked to the parliamentarians about possible solutions for the maintenance of the capybara Filó, so that it remains in its natural habitat, in Autazes”, he said.

Cadeia para Maus-tratos is a national program, which brings together several federal and state deputies in favor of the defense and protection of animals.

Improvements for Ibama Amazonas

Joana Darc also took into account the needs of the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama), mainly for Cetas-Am, to try to reverse the situation of the local animals, which need repairs and maintenance for their well-being. of animals and functionalities of the environment.

Knowing this, the parliamentarian tries to hold a meeting with the president of Ibama so that the demands are heard and, subsequently, that the resources for Cetas-AM are accepted.

“We are in negotiations so that we can be received by the president of Ibama. We know that the lack of resources affects not only Amazonas, but also Cetas throughout Brazil. We are articulating support, to rebuild the place and with that, provide better conditions for those who work there and, especially, for the animals that need the space”, he defended.
