Former player was sentenced to 9 years in prison for raping a woman in a nightclub in Milan
The podcast “Robinho’s staples”, from the website UOLreleased this Wednesday (14), the audios in which former player Robinho confesses that he had sexual intercourse with the woman who accused him of rape, 10 years ago, in a nightclub in the city of Milan, Italy.
In the recordings, Robinho denies that he raped the woman, but stated that she was extremely drunk during the act. In one excerpt, he says: “Is she an idiot? We’re going to punch her in the face.”
The Brazilian was ultimately sentenced in 2022 to nine years in prison, but the former player remains free for being in Brazil. In another excerpt, he shows his concern if the case reached the media.
“If this stuff comes out in the press, I’m going to f….“, he said, worried.
The Italian police tapped Robinho’s cell phone and caught a conversation in which the Brazilian said he didn’t know the victim.
“First, the stuff is a year old. Second: I didn’t even touch that girl. Whoever touched it is there in Brazil. Go after the people who are there in Brazil. Oh, you want to go after the guys, hey, go to Brazil there, brother. Go to Brazil. The important thing is that I don’t even know this mine, nor do I know her. See if she has my number, if she ever kissed me. I do not know it”,
said Robinho.
In another passage, he expresses that the case would not be analyzed by the Justice: “This will not work“.
