Poultry meat production grew by 2.2% and was 12.9 million tons last year allowing exports of 4.8 million. This year could be another period of good foreign sales, as long as the avian flu does not land here.

The poultry sector should have a relief in production costs if the super harvest of grains is confirmed.

In the pork sector, after nine consecutive years of increases, production reached 5.2 million tons last year. For the consultancy, in addition to lower production costs, the sector may have a new impetus in exports if the advance of new outbreaks of African swine fever in the Asian country is confirmed.
