Authorized for face-to-face courses in Agronomy and Nursing, in addition to offering the Pedagogy course in the distance modality, IEDI is headquartered in Boa Vista (RR), and stands out for its strategic role in the education sector.
The Institute of Higher Education is expanding its operations to Manaus. The arrival of the Distance Learning Pedagogy course in the city represents a significant advance for education in the region, providing quality training for those who seek to work in the area of Inclusive and Innovative Higher Education.
Those interested will be able to participate in the entrance exam, yet to be announced, to enroll in this course, which aims to train committed professionals with an academic-scientific, ethical and humanistic basis, aiming at a more inclusive education that is sensitive to the realities of indigenous and local communities.
In its most recent initiative, IEDI started an innovative project to train indigenous teachers in Uiramutã, a municipality that is home to several indigenous communities in Roraima. The initiative aims to serve interested audiences, fulfilling the responsibility of training professionals with an academic-scientific, ethical and humanistic basis for technical-professional performance.

The training of indigenous teachers is a milestone for education in the State, as it seeks to ensure the preservation and appreciation of local cultures, in addition to providing a more inclusive education that is sensitive to the realities of indigenous communities. The project is developed in partnership with local indigenous leaders, with the support of the Ministry of Education and state education agencies.
IEDI’s academic director, Jocelino Pereira, celebrated the initiative and highlighted the importance of partnership with indigenous communities.

The project has an innovative pedagogical approach, which values traditional knowledge and popular practices, incorporating them into the academic curriculum. In addition, indigenous teachers in training have access to postgraduate programs, such as Specialization in Urgency and Emergency, which expands their possibilities of acting in the job market.

Currently, IEDI has a structure that makes it possible to offer three undergraduate courses, with emphasis on Pedagogy in the distance modality. The institution has a score of 4 awarded by the MEC, which demonstrates its commitment to the quality of teaching.
