The Federal Police carried out five search and seizure warrants this Friday (20) at the request of the PGR (Attorney General’s Office). The targets are the governor of the Federal District, Ibaneis Rocha (MDB), and the former executive secretary of Public Security of the DF Fernando de Sousa Oliveira.
Ibaneis was removed from office for 90 days by order of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court.
The politician and the former executive secretary of the SSP-DF are investigated in an investigation by the Federal Public Ministry that investigates the conduct of authorities responsible for local security on the day of the attacks on the Três Poderes headquarters promoted by supporters of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL ).
The defense of the removed governor was contacted by the report, but still no manifestation about the action.
The PGR investigation is in charge of the Strategic Group to Combat Anti-Democratic Acts, created by the Attorney General of the Republic, Augusto Aras. Coordination is under attorney Carlos Frederico Santos.
In a statement to the PF on Wednesday (18), Oliveira said that the former Secretary of Public Security for the DF Anderson Torres left the country without giving him a “guideline” or presenting it to the commanders of the police forces and Ibaneis.
He said he was not aware, for example, of the Military Police’s operational plan for the demonstrations that would take place on the 6th, 7th and 8th of this month.
From the content of the testimony, the then executive secretary at the SSP-DF considered that the body was under the responsibility of Torres on the occasion of the attacks on the headquarters of the three Powers, since the holidays officially began on the 9th.
He stated that, “given the absence of the holder of the portfolio, Secretary Anderson, he saw fit to activate the crisis office with the summoning of all the commanders” of the local forces, displacement of troops to the city center and recruitment of off-duty police .
