Have you ever wondered how the Mcdonald’s kitchen works? Well, you can satisfy your curiosity at any chain store. Launched in 2014, in celebration of Transparency Day (28/09), the Open Doors program allows customers to learn about how the Mcdonald’s kitchen works and see up close the preparation processes and ingredients used. To participate, simply arrive at the counter and request a visit.

“We are very proud to be the only ones in the sector who open the doors of our kitchens every day so that people can discover our passion for quality and appreciate how we take care of every detail in the preparation of our products, ensuring maximum safety in each process . As leaders, we understand our role and the program exists to show that transparency is a non-negotiable value for us, which is why we want all customers to be able to live this incredible experience”, says Mariana Scalzo, director of corporate communications for the Brazilian division of Arcos Dorados, McDonald’s franchisor in Latin America and the Caribbean.

In total, the Open Doors Program has already taken more than 15 million people to see how the McDonald’s kitchen works in Latin America, 10 million of which in Brazil alone. At the end of the visit, customers are invited to complete a satisfaction survey. Last year this survey received 38 thousand responses, 97% of them positive.

“At Arcos Dorados, we firmly believe that our customers deserve to know first-hand what is behind every delicious experience in our restaurants. Through Portas Abertas, we guarantee transparent and valuable information so that everyone can feel confident when choosing us. We have nothing to hide and we are very proud of the care and love we put into the food we offer,” says David Grinberg, vice president of communications at Arcos Dorados.
