Approximately 900 ultrasounds and 750 mammograms will be offered at the mobile health unit

Manaus (AM) – The Health Support Cart, coordinated by the State Department of Health of Amazonas (SES-AM), returns to activities from this Monday (22) to February 9, in the parking lot of the Ana Braga maternity ward, av. Cosme Ferreira, São José I, East Zone of Manaus.

The service will be exclusive to patients regulated and authorized by the Amazonas Regulatory Complex. The main objective is to increase the number of medical examinations carried out in the region.

The service will be provided from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm. This is an opportunity for the local community to have easier access to important health exams such as ultrasounds and mammograms, thus reducing the waiting list for these procedures.

During this period, approximately 900 ultrasounds and 750 mammograms will be offered. This initiative was created to meet the specific needs of the east zone of Manaus. SES-AM highlights that access to exams will only be permitted with authorization from the Regulatory Complex. Patients who have already been contacted must guarantee their care within the established deadline.

The initiative demonstrates the commitment to caring for the health of the local population and ensuring increased access to quality medical services.

After 15 days of service, the mobile health unit will move to another area of the city, with the aim of serving other regions and reducing exam queues.
