Former Economy Minister Paulo Guedes told allies that he wants to create an institute for the dissemination of liberal thought in 2023.
The idea, still in its infancy, would be to form a think tank to defend issues such as the minimal state and freedom, both associated with right-wing thinking.
A graduate of the Chicago School, a mecca of liberal thought in the world, Guedes is a radical advocate of privatization, although he has been criticized for having done less than he promised in this regard.
Guedes should also head an economic council linked to the government of São Paulo, in addition to resuming the life of a private investor. He has said he has no plans to return to public life, let alone enter politics.
