The Prerogativas Group, which brings together lawyers aligned with the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), promoted on Friday (19) a dinner to honor Minister André Mendonça, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF). Mendonça was appointed to the Court by former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

Dinner was offered at the home of lawyer Roberto Podval, in São Paulo. The objective was to talk about Mendonça’s first year as a minister in the STF. More than 120 people were on the guest list, including Judiciary authorities and politicians. The information is from CNN Brasil.

Lawyer Marco Aurélio de Carvalho, coordinator of the Prerogativas group, told CNN that the intention of the dinner was “to strengthen dialogue with the minister”. “We have profound differences with Minister André Mendonça in relation to several guidelines, but our convergences are even greater. We believe in the minister’s public spirit, integrity and commitment to the role he embraced”, he said.
