Grêmio reserve draws 0-0 with São Luiz, in Ijuí

Grêmio Reserva and São Luiz drew 0-0 this Saturday (18), in a match valid for the eighth round of the Campeonato Gaúcho. With the result, Tricolor lost 100% of use, but remains undefeated in the competition. The game took place at Estádio 19 de Outubro, and was marked by tests by Gremista coach Renato Portaluppi.

The highlight of the game was the rookie midfielder Vina, who had good chances, but failed to convert. On the other hand, goalkeeper Pablo was the essential piece. He saved the alvirrubro on more than three occasions. Renato was very participatory during the 90 minutes. From the technical area, Portaluppi guided and criticized the young players.

Imortal started by putting pressure on São Luiz, who were struggling to articulate the moves. Just four minutes in, attacking midfielder Vina hit a free kick close to the area, the ball was placed and passed by the goalkeeper Pablo’s crossbar. In the next bid, Pablo handed it to Vina in front of the area. The midfielder hit the corner and the archer made a great save to correct his mistake.

All offensive actions were created by Portaluppi’s team. At 13 minutes, Galdino stole the ball from São Luiz, played for Gabriel Silva, who tapped. Grêmio had absolute control of the game until the 20th minute. Despite being mismatched, the reserve team was very fast and made it difficult for the home team to leave.
