Grand final of the Women’s Amapazão takes place on International Women’s Day – News of Brazil

On Monday night (27), Ypiranga won the second place in the finals of the 2023 State Football Championship, promoted by the Amapaense Football Federation (FAF). Clube da Torre will compete for the title with EC Macapá, with the grand final scheduled for March 8, International Women’s Day.
The Women’s Championship final will take place in two matches. The first leg games (Friday the 3rd) and the second leg (Wednesday the 8th) will take place at 7pm at Zerão. As in the whole season, the gates of the stadium will be open to the fans.
This year’s championship opened the calendar of FAF competitions, with 5 participants and 12 clashes in 5 qualifying rounds. All games took place at Estádio Zerão, broadcast by FAF TV on the Eleven Sports platform.

With the proposal to strengthen the category, the Federation brings for the first time the prize of R$10 thousand in cash for the teams. The champion will receive R$7,000 and the runner-up, R$3,000. The winning club will also represent Amapá in the 2024 A3 Brazilian Women’s Championship, promoted by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

We want our star players to shine and stand out. The International Women’s Day final is just another gift for the category, it’s going to be a big party in the middle of the world”pointed out Netto Goes, president of the FAF.
