Governor Clécio Luís requested this Tuesday, 3rd, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa) to re-evaluate the sanitary conditions of Amapá, in the month of November, so that the state can be recognized as a foot-and-mouth disease-free zone. without vaccination.
The letter, signed during the 52nd Expofeira do Amapá, was addressed to the Minister of State for Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Henrique Fávaro.
When requesting the reevaluation, the State Government informed the Federal Government that it has already completed more than 50% of the actions foreseen in the State Strategic Plan. Furthermore, the management is carrying out, in partnership with Senator Davi Alcolumbre, the strengthening of the Amapá Agricultural Defense and Inspection Agency (Diagro), with the acquisition of new equipment for inspections.
