Government of SP releases BRL 200 million in credit for agricultural machinery – 05/23/2023 – Panel

The Government of the State of São Paulo started releasing this Monday (22) around R$ 200 million in accumulated credit from ProAgro-SP, a program aimed at manufacturers of tractors and machines for agriculture and livestock.
Support for the sector was announced by Governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) during Agrishow 2023, at the beginning of the month. Membership runs until June 16.
According to the Institute of Agricultural Economics (IEA), of the State Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply, the agrarian sector exported US$ 25.92 billion and imported US$ 5.1 billion in 2022.
Agricultural exports grew 36.4% compared to 2021, accounting for 37.4% of the State’s trade balance. It is a larger share than that of the country as a whole, which is equivalent to 16.3% of the total.
According to the state government, the total accumulated value of accumulated credit releases authorized since the beginning of the ProAtivo Program, in 2021, exceeds R$ 2.8 billion.
The program runs through accumulated credit transfer authorization rounds. To use it, you need to register with the state government.
