Government launches notices for the Unified National Competition

The Minister of Management and Innovation, Esther Dweck, said in a press conference this Wednesday (10) that the decentralization of the Unified National Public Competition aims to bring more diversity to the public service, by reaching candidates who are unable to travel to Brasília to do the exams.

“We want public service with a Brazilian look. We already have regional diversity in Brasília, but it can be expanded. People often need to travel to Brasília or, at best, go to the capitals.”

Nicknamed the Enem of Competitions, the selection will have simultaneous tests in 220 cities across the country on May 5th. In the morning, there will be an objective test (marking answers) of general knowledge and an essay test (written), with specific knowledge. In the afternoon, there will be an objective test of specific knowledge.

The notice of the event is expected to be published this Wednesday afternoon (10). In total, there will be 6,640 vacancies divided into 21 federal agencies. Registration begins on January 19th and ends on February 6th.

Although the panel responsible for the competition is the Cesgranrio Foundation, registrations will take place on the Gov.br Portal. To register, you will need to have an account on the portal of any level (gold, silver or bronze). The registration fee will cost R$60 for secondary level and R$90 for higher level.

The registration fee will entitle candidates to compete for several vacancies in different federal bodies, as long as they are within the same thematic block. Those registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico), bone marrow donors and scholarship holders or former scholarship holders of the University for All Program (Prouni) or Student Financing Fund (Fies) may request exemption from the fee.

According to the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services, the competition is expected to attract 2 million to 3 million candidates. Of the 6,640 vacancies planned, 5,948 are at higher education (undergraduate) and 692 are at secondary level. Salaries range from R$3,700 to R$23,000. The final announcement of the results will take place on July 30th, with the call for induction and training courses beginning on August 5th.

Choice of vacancies

The candidate may apply for all positions within the same thematic block, with the following selection steps:
• Step 1: choose the thematic block;
• Step 2: choose positions within the same thematic block;
• Step 3: order preference between positions;
• Step 4: sort preference between specialties;
• It is possible to express preference among all positions and specialties or just some of them.

Evidences

Higher level
• In the morning (2h30 duration): objective tests of general knowledge (20 questions) + discursive test of specific knowledge of the block;
• In the afternoon (2h30 duration): objective tests of specific knowledge (50 questions).

Middle level
• In the morning (2h30 duration): objective tests (20 questions) + essay;
• In the afternoon (2h30 duration): objective tests (40 questions).
