The classes of Olympic, Paralympic, sports and parasports activities to be offered by City Hall of Macapá will begin their enrollment period next Tuesday, the 9th. Enrollment will be done exclusively in person, at the Municipal Coordination of Sports and Leisure (Eat), on the third floor of the Semam building, opposite the square ‘Floriano Peixoto’.
Interested parties should pay attention to the social networks of the city hall, where information regarding the documents necessary for the registration will be published. Individual modalities will have approximately 30 vacancies per segment, which will be divided by age group and will have two divisions – 1st and 2nd.
“There are several types of sport; innovative modalities with the skate park, in the street and board segment; also 3×3 basketball, which is an Olympic modality, and the sand field, which can be used for volleyball and footvolleyball”says the municipal sports and leisure coordinator, Bruno Church, about the new Olympic activities of the sports complex.
Of the 30 sports that will be offered at Glicerão, the highlight is the ‘Great Hall of Martial Arts’, which will feature judo, taekwondo, wrestling, karate, MMA, kick boxing and capoeira classes. The para-sports area will have bocce classes, sitting volleyball, soccer for the hearing impaired, para-athletics and para-swimming.
In the morning and in the afternoon, socio-educational activities will be offered through the schools, and in the evening, through partnership with the sports federations, high performance training will be carried out for the selections.
Classes are scheduled to start for the first weekend of June, with all the modalities offered. Martial activities have the possibility of starting early, considering that they already have all the necessary structure.
To teach the classes, physical education professionals and big names in sports in the state were selected. Martial athletes from Amapá, such as Venilton Teixeira and Mestre Tatu, a big name in muay thai and MMA. João Santos, who has athletes on the Brazilian national team, and Lilian Amaral, a multi-medal athlete who has participated in the Olympic trials and is of great importance in judo.
In partnership with the Department of Health, Professor Beto, accompanied by physical and professional education teachers from Nasf, trained in the training course of the Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB), will provide an excellent work of initiation and projection for future national and international competitions. international parasports.
