Social and Economic Inequality: Analyze the causes and consequences of social and economic inequality in Brazil and explore ways to combat it. Environment and Sustainability: Address issues related to the environment, such as deforestation, pollution, global warming and the importance of environmental preservation. Brazilian Culture and Identity: Discuss Brazil’s cultural diversity, its history and how culture influences national identity. Are they good guesses? ❌No. “In fact, ChatGPT does not suggest topics that would fall into the Enem, but rather broader thematic sections. It talks, for example, about ‘social and economic inequality’. We have already seen something like that fall, but in a much more specific way, about people who do not have documents [tema do Enem 2021]”, explains Marina Rocha. Another example: last year, the test asked candidates to write about the “Challenges for valuing traditional communities and peoples in Brazil”, instead of something as comprehensive as that suggested by ChatGPT (” Brazilian culture and identity”). Is ChatGPT good for… pointing out the strengths and weaknesses of newsrooms? In this context, marketing entities that operate in areas occupied by traditional populations are not necessarily concerned with their preservation, a behavior in which profit is valued over harmony between nature and the communities in question. In light of this, there is the example of what happens to fishermen, whose rivers are contaminated due to illegal mining, extremely common in the Amazon region. Consequently, the people who survive from this activity are harmed by what Biology calls trophic magnification, when heavy metals accumulate in animals in a food chain – causing the death of fish and the infection of humans by mercury. Thus, industries that use natural resources irresponsibly do not promote sustainable development and act in ways that are harmful to traditional societies. Therefore, it is essential for the government to mitigate the aforementioned challenges. To this end, the Ministry of Education – the body responsible for establishing the school curriculum – must educate students about the obstacles to the preservation of indigenous people, through the inclusion of the subject “Indigenous Studies” in basic education, in order to explain the context of foresters and deconstruct prejudice.
