Furlan signs service order to revitalize sports complex in Jesus de Nazaré neighborhood – News of Brazil

The mayor of Macapá, Dr. Furlan signed this Thursday (2) a work order for the revitalization of the sports complex located at Praça Jesus de Nazaré. The site will be restructured to provide a leisure environment, carry out social projects and encourage sports.
“One of the biggest commitments of our management is to generate well-being, in its entirety, for those who live in Macapá. We want citizens to rediscover the feeling of belonging to the city. We are working daily to restructure Macapá, make the city more beautiful and deliver works that positively influence the daily lives of residents”, said the mayor of Macapá, Dr. Furlan.
Teócrito Tibiriçá Nunes Marinho, 50, has lived in the Jesus de Nazaré neighborhood since he was born. The representative of the neighborhood’s single and married association comments that residents have been requesting the renovation of the place for some time and that the service order symbolizes an achievement for those who live in the place.
“We are very happy with the affectionate look of the management towards our neighborhood. This achievement means a lot for residents, especially for athletes and children, who will have an organized place for leisure”celebrated the resident.
According to the municipal secretary of Works, Cássio Cruz, the structure of 5,002.44 m2 of area for sports and food practices will have two sports courts, two tennis courts, beach volleyball court, beach tennis, society field, playground for children and restrooms for visitors to the complex.
“In the complex we will also have two kiosks for local commerce, stimulating entrepreneurship, generating jobs and income for residents of the neighborhood”commented the head of the Municipal Secretariat for Works and Urban Infrastructure (Semob).
The work will be carried out by Semob. The budget comes from a parliamentary amendment by Senator Davi Alcolumbre, in the amount of R$ 2 million, plus a counterpart from the Municipality of Macapá of R$ 324,803.00.
