The mayor of Macapá, Dr. Furlan, announced this Thursday (6th) new measures that will reinforce security in municipal schools in the capital.
“We are going to guarantee the Municipal Guard in schools, adopt safety protocols and train our servers. We are going to intensify the school rounds and create an application as well, to be activated in case of any suspicion of problems with our children”, announced the mayor.
One of the measures will also be to intensify the Health at School program, taking psychologists to help in the evaluation and to avoid problems in educational institutions.
“Guaranteeing the physical and mental health and integrity of our children is a duty of the municipality, and we are going to do it”, ended Dr. Furlan.
The reinforcement measures come after the attack, this Wednesday (5), on a day care center in Blumenau (SC). The 25-year-old attacker used a hatchet to attack children. Four died and one was seriously injured. After the crime, he looked for a PM battalion and turned himself in.
