Fuel prices will be maintained at the current level

Change can be debated from Tuesday (12), when the president of Petrobras returns from COP28
Brasilia DF) – The president of Petrobras, Jean Paul Prates, stated this Friday (1st) that the company will maintain fuel prices at the current level for the next few days. Discussions about a possible change will only take place when he returns from the 28th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 28), in Dubai, which ends on Tuesday (12).
To the newspaper Valor Econômico, he stated that the production cut announced the day before by the Organization of Petroleum Producing Countries (Opec) had already been priced. Therefore, the measure would not justify bringing forward the debate. The entity, made up of 13 countries, foresees a reduction of up to 1 million barrels of oil per day.
Prates also stated that there is a greater possibility of changes in the price of gasoline, without “much slack”, than that of diesel. “One thing is certain: I wouldn’t want to do anything now during COP28,” the Petrobras president told the newspaper. “Maybe, next week, after the COP is over, when we return, we will hold our price meeting.”
