The secrets to making a tasty paella are the theme of a free show-class held by the Olivença Cozinha Ibérica restaurant, this Thursday (28), at 8 pm, at Mercadoteca. The class is free and will be taught by three gastronomy professionals.

Chef Márcia Borges, from Olivença, will prepare the dish and explain the recipe. Already the restaurateur and wine specialist Raphael Zanette, from Grupo Vino!, will talk about pairings. Businessman Bernardo Fuck, from Trapiche Pescados, will talk about how to choose seafood. Once ready, the paella will be sold for R$79 per dish, or R$99 with a glass of wine.

The recipe chosen for the class is Paella Marinera, which highlights seafood in its recipe. “Paella is an institution in Spanish cuisine. It has different versions, depending on each region where it is produced. The base of rice with saffron, which gives the dish a very bright yellow color, is combined with different ingredients, such as seafood, meat or even both”, says Márcia.
