Controversial and veteran, the striker Jobson was released by Rio Branco, this Sunday (29). The 34-year-old athlete played four games and did not score a single goal. Leão da Estradinha claims that the contractual termination happened by mutual agreement.
With passages through Botafogo, Atlético-MG and Grêmil, Jobson sought a fresh start in his career in Paranaguá. But he didn’t work out.
Since he was suspended for three years by FIFA, in 2015, for refusing to take an anti-doping test, the player has rotated for several small teams in Brazilian football. His last club before Rio Branco had been Santo Ângelo-RS.
When hired by Rio Branco, at the end of November last year, Jobson arrived with credits. At the time, Leão’s president, Alex Jacomel, stated that the striker had been hired due to his “current life”.
However, in the past, the athlete, who stood out in Botafogo, collected controversies off the pitch. In 2010, when he was a player for the Rio club, Jobson fell into doping for cocaine use, being suspended for six months.

After these controversies in São Caetano do Sul, the striker moved to Arab football and also had difficulties, having refused to take an anti-doping test. With that, Fifa suspended him from football for four years.
Jobson’s New Arrests
During the suspension period, Jobson was arrested twice. In 2016, the attacker was accused of rape of vulnerable. He was released on bail after paying bail. The following year, the athlete was involved in a traffic accident, which resulted in the death of a man.
As he should follow some precautionary measures due to the 2016 crime, the attacker was arrested again. Jobson was imprisoned until April 2018. Since then, he returned to football and played in 11 clubs, before passing through Estradinha.
