Former president of Sebrae Nacional, Carlos Melles appointed Isis Dantas, mother of the president of the TCU (Union Court of Auditors), Bruno Dantas, to the position of advisor one week before his resignation as head of the institution, which took place on Wednesday. fair (29).
Appointed on March 22, Isis Dantas, who is a retired employee of Banco do Brasil, says that she verbally asked Melles on the same day for the nomination to be canceled. A week later, on March 29, she sent an email to Sebrae formalizing the request for reversal of the nomination.
Melles left office after a struggle with the federal government that dragged on for months, during which he made several appointments in an attempt to strengthen himself politically.
One of them was former deputy Margarete Coelho (PP-PI), an ally of the mayor, Arthur Lira (PP-AL). Coelho will remain as administrative and financial director of the institution in the new management of Sebrae, which should be headed by Décio Lima (PT), a former candidate for the government of Santa Catarina.
Melles also tried to incorporate former deputies Vinicius Farah (RJ) and Geninho Zuliani (SP) into Sebrae, at the request of União Brasil, but the nominations did not advance. Farah became Secretary of Economic Development in the Cláudio Castro government (PL-RJ).
When contacted by the Panel, Melles and Dantas declined to comment.
