The former chief minister of the Institutional Security Office (GSI), Marco Edson Gonçalves Dias, said this Wednesday (19) that he removed invaders from the upper floors of the Planalto Palace, so that they could be arrested during the acts of vandalism of 8 of January. The statement was made in an interview with GloboNews after Gonçalves Dias resigned.

“I arrived at the palace when the demonstrators had broken through the Military Police blockade at the Ministry of Justice. Most of them went up the ramp. As the palace has glass, people broke the windows. They did not enter through the doors. The former minister stated that the images were distributed in full to the police authorities that investigate acts of vandalism.
